Our pigs are Idaho Pasture Pigs, also known as IPPs. They are a medium sized hog built to graze rather than root up the ground. They grow faster and larger than traditional grazing pigs but do not reach the size of commercial hogs and consume less grain. IPPs are between 250-450 lbs at maturity. The breed is also extremely docile and friendly making them pleasant to work with. We have both registered and unregistered pigs.

Our pigs are on pasture 24/7 in the spring, summer, and fall. In the mornings they get a ration of barley fodder and food scraps. In the evenings we feed a small ration of grain to ensure their mineral needs are being met. In the winter they are fed hay as well as an addition of grain to the morning feeding to make sure they are getting the calories they need to stay warm. They live in A-frame shelters year round. In the winter the shelters are mostly enclosed and stuffed with bedding to help retain heat. In the warmer months the shelters are left with dirt floors and are opened up to allow for airflow.
At this time, we only keep one boar at a time and so are unable to provide breeding pairs
